Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is the brand behind the Radeon label. Radeon is one of the top contenders in the graphics card arena, with the other large player being Nvidia's Geforce. The Radeon line has a whole lot of variety, with options for high-end graphic cards for gamers to more accessible ones for regular consumers.

The Radeon RX 580

Released in 2017, the Radeon RX 580 is part of the performance segment. AMD used the 14nm building process and based on the Polaris 20 graphics processor. It supports DirectX 12.0. Featuring 2304 shading units, 144 texture mapping units and 32 ROPs.

The Radeon RX 580 has 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, connected via a 256-bit memory interface. The card performs at a frequency of 1257MHz and can be boosted up to 1349MHz. With the memory running at 2000MHz. This is a dual-slot card so it has a 1x8 pin power connector, drawing power at a rate of 185W. It connects to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 3.0x16 interface. The display outputs include 3 DisplayPorts and 1 HDMI. It also has a dual-fan cooling system to keep it at an even temperature when it is being maxed out.

Radeon's RX 580 is available at a mid-range price. A graphics card that has been in the market for a few years and has held up its reputation as a good performer.
