The MacBook family is Apple's line of Macintosh laptops. It currently consists of two lineups, the Apple MacBook Pro, that hit the shelves in 2006 and the Air, that was released in 2008. Both iterations differ in several features and upgradations that they receive.

Macbook Air 2020

The third-generation laptops come with Retina display, two combinations USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports, Touch ID. Laptops in this line are available in three colours; silver, space grey, and gold. It showcases a 13.3-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and 48% more colour for more lifelike images. The bezels have been narrowed down to 50%. 

The device was updated in March 2020, more internal storage was added as well as a more reliable Magic keyboard with scissor-switches. Apple integrated faster 10th-generation Intel processors in the device that still features slim bezels, a Retina display, 16GB RAM, Touch ID and up to 2TB SSD. The design remains the same as its predecessor with a Force Touch trackpad, 13-inch Retina display, tapered wedge-shaped aluminium overall and slim black bezels. It is available in Silver, Space Gray and Gold colours.

You will find its display to be really bright and crisp with a resolution of 2560x1600 and 4 million pixels. The picture quality is vivid and displays sharper and solid colours that are pleasing to the eyes. There is a 720p FaceTime HD camera on the top of the display that is accompanied by an array of three microphones. 

MacBook Air 2019 

Crafted out of 100% recycled aluminium, 2019 Air was released as an updated model in the third generation category. It came with a striking True Tone display technology and an updated keypad called the Butterfly keyboard. The base model comes with a 1.6GHz 7W Y-Series Amber Lake chip from Intel that supports Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz. 

It uses a dual-core 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 128GB storage and Intel UHD Graphics 617. 2018 version supports 8GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD and runs an Intel Core i5 processor (1.6GHz base clock, with Turbo up to 3.6GHz) and Intel UHD Graphics 617.
