Dell Xps 13

Dell XPS 13 has an 8th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, ensuring increased performance for multiple applications processing. They introduced the thin-bezel design in 2015. It was the first time a laptop had an 11.6 inch laptop model came with a larger 13.3 inch display. The 80.7% screen-to-body ratio and edge-to-edge display called InfinityEdge are some of the key features of Dell XPS 13. XPS 13 offers vibrant colours by maximizing the colour spectrum with 100% RGB colours and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It has a new and improved webcam that is the smallest one yet at only 2.25mm with an advanced 4 lens elements it delivers focused high picture quality and is located on the top centre of the InfinityEdge display. 

Design

The Dell XPS 13 weighs only 2.67 pounds. It has an anti-reflective screen great for using outdoors and in direct sunlight. It has an IPS panel, that is great for touch screens with little to no touch trace. The display is viewable from many angles making it easy to share your screen efficiently. It has torque hinge design that creates stability for one-hand opening of your laptop screen. There are improvements to this design seen in the XPS 15 model that makes this series highly popular and premium in its design. 

Battery & Memory 

Dell XPS 13 guarantees an incredibly long battery life, with up to 21 hours with Full High Definition FHD display while using applications like Word or Excel. It can system reboot and resume in seconds because of its 512 GB of drive storage.

Now users can multitask seamlessly between intense applications with up to 16GB of memory performing at faster memory and more storage. The Dell Power Manager is engineered to be easily customizable, users can change the settings creating their laptop acoustics, the fan speeds, the temperature. Dell is able to personalise your laptop performance based on daily usage and individual tasks, catering to a variety of user preferences between quiet, ultra-performance and cool modes.

Connectivity features include the three USB-C sockets that make the Dell XPS versatile and able to connect third-party devices. 

Processor 

Web browsing, emailing, texting, downloading and streaming have become part of every individual daily life. The Core i7 laptop can deliver fast processing and seamless multitasking for users who are upgrading from dated i-series models like i3. 

Core i3 or Core i5 are now a dated processor with the upgrades and technology advancement seen in core i9. That does not mean it isn't a technological breakthrough in delivering fast, reliable clock speeds and performed well under multitasking operations. 

The cooling mechanism of core i7 have dual-fans that help maintain an optimum temperature of the main processor. It was installed for overclocking that improved processing rates were introduced.

With the previously used 22 nm chipset size could deliver high-intensity gameplay and video playback at 4K resolutions. Even older versions of microarchitectures can pair well with a core i7 laptop as they are efficient in base level processing. The Broadwell generation is an optimised chipset that is only 14 nm using a Tri-Gate transistor that is an Intel 3D design. The chipset can ensure the PC uses 30% less power than before.

Cooling System

The XPS 13 will not heat up easily as it is built with GORE™ Thermal Insulation, that has doubled the number of heat pipes and fans to maximize cooling. Made with silica aerogels that are considered the highest quality material used to protect sensitive devices in extreme environments are lightweight and highly porous materials.

Gore the company was at the forefront of space technology dating back to the very first moon landing. This technology insulates the Mars Rover and the Stardust Probe. The durability of XPS 13 is guaranteed as its body is cut from a single block of aluminium, as compared to pieced together laptops.

It also takes carbon fibre used in space technology, along with woven glass fibre for the palm rest creating strength with minimal weight. The Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 are damage resistant making any likely accidents not fatal to the machine.
