Baby Formula

A newborn baby must receive a rich nutritional diet in the first two years of its life as this ensure they have a healthy growth rate and cognitive abilities that will directly affect their adulthood. This is the perfect supplement administered at birth when babies are not breastfed. It is used as a top-up feed complimentary with breastfeeding. It does not substitute for a mother's milk as that can have adverse effects on a child's growth. It is best to consult with your local health worker on the dosage and requirement for the baby. 

Packaging 

The maximum shelf life is 12 months after the date of manufacturing. The unique Bag-in-Box BIB packaging has a tightly sealed bag inside a hard shell container. This ensures the baby formula stayed fresh and safe from any bacteria accumulation. It is hygiene and super easy to use once opened as the powder is kept inside the hard shell with a secure lib making sure none is wasted. The BIB Pack is 400g that can last for a few weeks. It is better to store the formula in an airtight container or store in a cool, dry place. There is a scoop within the packaging that is used to create the formula and should be thoroughly washed and dried before reusing.

Instructions and Directions 

The instructions on how to administer the baby formula are simple but it is important that they be followed strictly as using too little or too much powder will not have the desired impact on the baby's nutrition. Diluting the water with too little powder will be insufficient to provide enough nutrients to the baby or using too much will make is chunky, make your child dehydrated and be harder to digest. 

Other Nestle Lactogen Products 

The next in line after Lactogen 1 are Lactogen-2 used for babies older than 6 months that are given 4-3 feeds a day of baby formula. The Lactogen 3 and 4 are used after 12, 18 and 24 months with 2 feeds daily. 

Ingredients 

It is made from Probiotic cultures namely L.reuteri DSM 17938 that are designed to improve infant intestinal or gut functions. There is a healthy dose of Calcium to help develop strong bones and teeth. The Iron aid in the formation of red blood cells in the body.
