Design & Resolution

The Oppo A1K was released in 2019 with a water drop notch display screen that can display HD Plus resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels with a rich 282 PPI pixel density. Its thin bezels and edge to edge display ensure an immersive experience while watching videos on Youtube and Netflix.

The 15.49 centimetres or 6.1 inches screen is a flagship size found in higher-end smartphones. It is made with Gorilla Glass that guarantees durability and protects the screen from sudden damage when dropped accidentality on the floor.

Processor 

Oppo A1K has a fast processing octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor built on a 12 NM chipset similar to the ones installed in high processing CPUs of higher-end Oppo smartphones. The Oppo operating system is called ColorOS, it is designed to complement the Android Pie system. The 6.0 version of the ColorOS along with the Android Pie gives users a highly intelligent AI software with an easy to use interface. 

Memory Storage 

A1K has 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, it is important to remember this is a budget-friendly phone and for this price range most base models offer a limited memory. There are multiple iterations for different RAM size so that users can choose according to their daily needs and budget.

The universal rule for RAM performance is the higher the RAM the faster and more efficient the processing power of the phone. For this purpose, the A1K has an external microSD card slot which becomes a key feature of the phone as the memory can be expanded up to 250GB.

Increasing the internal storage of the phone will increase processing speeds, create seamless transitions when switching between applications and generally improve RAM performance. User will be able to store thousands of music, videos, photos in their media library along with creating backup files and download hundreds of applications from the Playstore.   

Camera 

It has an 8-megapixel rear camera that feels basic when compared to other mid-range smartphone cameras in the same price range. Users are advised to use the 8MP in daylight settings as that generates the best results. Camera features include Phase detection, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama.

These features will be able to create professional photographs when photographing landscapes and group photos. The video recording can be done at a high resolution of 1080p at 30FPS, it has mild motion stability users are advised to hold the camera as still as possible for clear video quality. 

There are camera features that come with the Android Pie OS that can enhance images and create HDR photographs. The 5-megapixel front shooting camera will be able to create dynamic selfies but perform poorly in low light settings. The 8MP rear camera has AI tools such as face beauty, gender detection, AR sticker, face beauty video, camera filters to enhance colours and HDR for cancelling colour noise.

The multitouch screen has easy navigation and highly responsive saving users time answering calls with gesture keys such as swiping. It has a dual-SIM that accepts nano-sIM card making it compatible with a wide variety of users. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.20 and Micro-USB. It has the secure fingerprint unlock that is fast and reliable. 

Gaming Performance

Basic gaming is possible but for users looking to play intensive performance-based games like Fortnite and PUBG, the A1K can not run these games with its limited display resolution and lack of RAM.
