How To Use

Wash the skin well and then apply a few drops of the Lactic Acid Serum. Once absorbed apply your favourite moisturizer. This serum is to be applied ideally in the evening every day or once per week if you have sensitive skin. Avoid using this formula if your skin is broken, wounded or too sensitive.

Pro Tips

Since this is an exfoliating solution, it is better to start off with 5% strength. Once the skin settles and responds well then gradually switch to the 10% solution so that the skin doesn't get overwhelmed. If your skin is sensitive, start by using it once a week.

As with any other exfoliating solution, the skin tends to become photosensitive with The Ordinary Lactic Acid. Always make sure to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily even if you don't go out in the sun.

Another important thing to remember is to never mix Vitamin C with any of the AHA s and BHAs such as Lactic Acid. The difference in the pH levels can disrupt the natural pH level of the skin and cause more harm than good.

It is possible that some people may experience a bit of dryness after using Lactic Acid by The Ordinary as it is an exfoliating formula. Using Hyaluronic Acid serum after the Lactic Acid solution can restore skin's moisture and keep it hydrated for long.
