Mess-Free Design

As with all The Ordinary products, its peeling solution also comes in a glass dropper bottle. It is a tinted brown bottle with a white dropper that helps squeeze out the right amount of solution. It is also a hygienic design as there are fewer chances of contamination because of the dropper. Just make sure not to touch the dropper end while getting the product out. 

Composition

The Ordinary Peeling Solution is a combination of alpha-hydroxy acids AHAs and beta hydroxy acids BHAs that are chemical exfoliants. Commonly used AHAs are citric, glycolic, mandelic and lactic acids while salicylic acid and related substances are the only beta hydroxy acids. The solution also has a number of antioxidants and humectants that prevent staging that is usually associated with peeling solutions. It includes Tasmanian pepper berry, hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B5 and black carrots.

How to Use

Thoroughly cleanse the face and neck and then pat dry. Use a small amount and spread to the entire face and neck, leaving out the eye region and lips. Leave on for 10 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Apply a good moisturizing cream afterwards. Ideally, this solution should not be used more than once or twice a week. Also, the evening is the best time to use this product.

Pro Tips

Since this is a peeling solution, using it can make the skin become sensitive to sunlight. It is best to avoid sun exposure once you have used it and if you have to go out during the day, use a good quality broad-spectrum sunblock with a higher SPF. Avoid using The Ordinary Peeling Solution if your skin is wounded or broken or is extremely sensitive.
