Timex has been around for a long time and was under a different name back in the day. The brand has a great reputation in the world.

There are various lines that have watches made for different purposes. One such line is the Expedition line which has watches that are made for people who are into the outdoor lifestyle.

Most of the designs in the Expedition line are simple, making for neat watches. There are some variations as there are specific models which are geared for a younger generation. There are options for analog and digital both, with some that combine both of these formats.

Generally made from composite plastics, Timex Expedition watches also do have some made in metal. Either of these would be sturdy options that serve one well while out and about. There are specific models which are built to be extra-rugged, these have a thicker outer layer for protection. Fabric or leather straps are a common feature with this line.

Expedition watches are water-resistant, generally to a 100 meters. Depending on the model an Expedition series watch can have a compass, altimeter, barometer or a thermometer.

A famous feature that Timex has incorporated into their other lines is also something one can find in Expedition watches; this is the Indiglo feature. Indiglo is a fluorescent light that makes the dial easily visible in the dark.
