Realme C25

The Realme C25 is a mid-range device that has good specs, enabling the user to have access to some great features at this price.

The C25 Internals and OS

At the centre of this device is the MediaTek Helio G70 that is made using the 12nm method and is an octa-core setup with a clock speed of 2.0Ghz. This processor features the HyperEngine Power for an upped performance and is integrated with the ARM Mali-G52 Graphics Processor. This chipset along with the 4GB of RAM makes it quite capable, allowing for mid-level gaming as well.

Storage options vary between 64 and 128GB, one can choose based on the amount of storage that suits them. There is also the option to make use of a microSDXC card to add on more space via a dedicated card slot.

With a base layer of Android 11, the Realme C25 performs quite snappy. This base OS has Machine Learning incorporated which lets it tune the performance based on its ability to pick up the users patterns. Over this there is the Realme UI 2.0, having this layer lets the brand develop a more custom feel for their device. It also has other options that let users customise it to their preference. This includes things such as custom icons, colour combinations and dark mode.

Realme UI 2.0 also has a system clone, floating windows and Sleep Capsule which locks your phone for a certain period so you are not caught up in a scroll-hole and missing out on sleep.

Camera and Display

There is a triple camera setup for the main module, the main sensor is a 48MP one with an aperture of f/1.8 and shoots a bit wide. Aside from this there are two 2MP sensors with an aperture of f/2.4, out of this one is for macro shooting and the other is a sensor for depth. Combined with the app and modes such as HDR, Panorama, Super Nightscape allow one to get very diverse images.

The front has an 8MP selfie camera which has an aperture of f/2.0. Both sides feature 1080p video at a frame rate of 30fps.

To view one's shooting and results there is a large 6.5-inch display. It has a resolution of 720 x 1600pixels which means it is HD, making for crisp visuals. The technology behind the display is IPS LCD and the pixel density comes to 270 pixels per inch. There is ample brightness at 480 nits for clear viewing under most conditions.

Connectivity, Sensors and Battery

There is a full range of the various connectors apart from NFC, the rest include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, Dual SIM and Data. Physical connectivity has the USB Type-C and a 3.5mm audio jack. The USB also features the On-The-Go option, meaning this device can be used to access flash drives if connected.

To feed the needed information to the various apps and systems there is an accelerometer, a compass and a proximity sensor. One can also make use of the fingerprint reader that is mounted onto the back.

For power, there is a Li-Polymer cell with a capacity of 6000mAh, which is quite large as far as batteries go. It even has the ability to power other devices if they need to be recharged, via the reverse charging feature.
