Burberry the brand

An old fashion house that was started in 1856 by Thomas Burberry. It has a Royal Warrant from the British Royal Family. One of the successes of Thomas Burberry, which propelled the brand leagues ahead, was gabardine patented in 1888. It is a kind of tightly woven fabric that was very tough and was great for coats as it was weather-resistant and durable. It was worn by the likes of Roald Amundsen and Ernest Shackleton, key figures of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. The layer of gabardine helped one make it to the South Pole and helped the other cross the Antarctic continent.

The brand's focus is ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, trainers, sunglasses, cosmetics and fragrances.

Burberry men's perfumes

The first fragrance was launched in 1981, it was their Burberry for Men. Today they have a very diverse range of scents for men.

The hit men's colognes include Burberry Brit, Burberry London and Burberry Touch. These all have many layers to them, but all have a certain muskiness that is noticeable across the board. The interesting bit is that their range has versatility as far as when one can wear these scents, they fit into multiple weather conditions and timings.

Burberry is a high-end brand and as such uses good quality ingredients for their men's perfumes, this makes for better-staying power and silage. The bottles are also well made and many of them have the classic Burberry 'tartan' cloth pattern printed on them, with some that are actually wrapped in said cloth.
