Haleeb was established in 1984 in Pakistan as a natural source of dairy products. In 2017 this claim was scrutinised by The Punjab Food Authority. They declared that Haleeb was not fit for human consumption, this was appealed by Haleeb extensively as they firmly stated that they [have passed all tests and produce only high-quality products. The milk was tested by the SGS Karachi and Qarshi Laboratory which declared it to be safe and healthy. Haleeb Foods produces UHT Milk that is considered the best processing treatment of raw milk better than milker treatments like homogenisation and pasteurisation. After many tests locally and internationally Haleeb has qualified and successfully passed all quality tests. The PFA has issued a retraction of their original result and has declared Haleeb a premium quality milk product. 

Treatment & Quality 

Haleeb says the PSCIR spread rumours even though Haleeb had proof of their milk being safe and healthy. As Ultra-Heat Treatment (UHT) heats the milk to 280 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of two seconds to kill harmful bacteria. This improves the shelf life to up to nine months as compared to the traditional pasteurization process. Pasteurizing as compared to UHT is a milder treatment to kill bacteria. It brings the milk to a specific temperature for a certain period of time kill off all bacteria. This treatment was created in 1968 to prevent diseases such as listeriosis, typhoid fever, tuberculosis, diphtheria, and brucellosis.

Haleeb is now Pakistan's only milk brand that is Nutra-Hygin that ensures the milk is nutritious without any harmful bacteria. It has the essential elements of minerals and vitamins that are ideal as a food course for children and adults. Haleeb milk has both Vitamin A and D that ensure a boost and regenerative impact on bones and immune system. Their milk collection centres are fully automated and modern dairy farms which ensure the safe removal of one-tenth TBC (Total Bacterial Count) when compared to other UHT Milk brands.
