Oneplus 9r

OnePlus is a brand known for its simplicity in design and also in how the OS is graphically designed, making for a minimal feel. BKK Electronics owns OnePlus, along with Oppo, Vivo and Realme.

The OnePlus 9R is a powerful mid-range device, ideal for someone who wants to spend but not on a flagship device which would be somewhere near double this device. The body is slim and the edges are rounded, one can choose to purchase the 9R in Carbon Black or Lake Blue.

Performance

At the heart of this device is the Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G, which was made using the 7nm method and is an octa-core chip. Quite a densely packed chipset which has a great performance. There is also the Adreno 650 integrated for graphics processing, this helps one run games with ease. For tasking there is either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, both are higher levels. Storage options include 128GB o 256GB, the higher option is with the higher RAM option.

OnePlus has given the 9R Android 11, with their own Oxygen OS layered on top. With this overlayed user interface, you can get a lot more customisations. A great way to have a more personal feel with the usage of your smartphone.

This device has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Data up to 5G standards. For physical connectivity, there is a USB Type-3.1, which is also used for charging. The battery is at 4500mAh and features fast charging so you can get charged a lot faster. There are also a host of sensors for the device to take in readings for functionality. This includes a fingerprint reader embedded into the display that can help unlock in a jif.

Camera and display

With powerful cameras and a great display, the OnePlus 9R gives users a great visual experience. A quad-camera setup gives this device a lot of shooting options for high-quality images. The main sensor is a 48MP one, with a secondary that is 16MP, supported by a 5MP for macro and a 2MP sensor for adding depth to your shots. This mix of sensors allows for lots of modes such as Pano, HDR, Bokeh and more.

Video on the main side can be shot at 4K or 1080p and features Auto-HDR as well as gyro-EIS. On the front, the OnePlus 9R has a 16MP sensor that shoots great selfies as well as video at 1080p. 

The display is a Fluid AMOLED, a technology at par with Samsung's Super AMOLED. Aside from the high-end display technology it has a 120Hz refresh rate as well as HDR10+. All this with the 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution makes the OnePlus 9R a great device for gaming, as the graphics are smooth and crisp. 

Comments

The OnePlus 9R is a relatively mid-range device, but still a costly one. The functionality is great and if you do not want to spend on a flagship device something like this would serve you well.
