Apple Iphone 12 Pro

In iPhone 12 series of flagship phones, the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro bear the most similarities. They are the same in size but the Pro comes in a bit heavier. The phone also has a better camera setup and photography performance. It is available in 5 colours including Silver, Graphite, Gold, Pacific Blue.

The Power Squad

Apple iPhone 12 Pro was launched alongside the economically priced iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini and the higher-end iPhone 12 Pro Max flagships in October 2020. All these fourteenth-generation flagship iPhones are the first models by Apple that do not come with a power adapter and EarPods. All four flagships come with the same curved edged squared design, Super Retina XDR OLED displays, super-fast A14 chip, front camera configuration, 5G support and iOS 14 software.

Performance & Gaming

The gaming performance of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro is smooth and seamless. The phone does not overheat, nor it produces any glitches while playing high-intensity games. It is ideal for watching videos and playing most games. One downside is the 3D gaming performance where Apple iPhone 12 Pro can only last up to 3 hours. This is way less than the 6-hour 3D gaming performance of the iPhone 11 Pro.

Processor & Memory

There are three internal storage options on the phone: 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. It comes with 5G support, has 6 GB of RAM and runs on iOS 14. iPhone 12 Pro houses a six-core A14 Bionic processor by Apple that also features a next-generation neural engine. 

IP68 Rating

iPhone 12 Pro has IP68 water and dust-resistant rating and can survive in six meters of water for up to 30 minutes. One important thing to note here is that Apple's warranty does not cover liquid damages to the phone so one needs to be careful with water and liquid splashes.

Battery & Charging

Apple iPhone 12 Pro has 2,815mAh battery and supports fast battery charging that is done through USB Power Delivery. For wireless charging, the phone is bundled with a magnetic charger called MagSafe that makes wireless charging a breeze. These were on all MacBooks until Apple decided to discontinue them in 2017. Though it comes without a charger, you can buy Apple's 20W PD charger or a USB-PD compatible adapter. 

Design & Display

Apple iPhone 12 Pro displays a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen and squared-off edges that increase the phone's ergonomics. The phone gives the user a comfortable grip and the design makes it easy for the user to hold and pick up the device from a flat surface. Most users have appreciated the design and have compared it to that of iPad Pro. iPhone 12 Pro uses the Ceramic Shield front glass and has the same Dual-Ion Exchange strengthened glass on the rear as the previous flagship. 

Cameras 

iPhone 12 Pro comes with a tri camera setup on the rear with 12 MP main wide shooter laced with optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and Dolby Vision HDR processing. The phone can film stunning 4K videos with up to 60 frames per second. The cameras can capture plenty of detail and light, giving amazing results. Low light photography is also great with this mobile. There is another set of dual cameras on the front, with the 12 MP main selfie camera and an SL 3D biometrics sensor. The selfie camera takes decent selfies.
