Calvin Klein

The brand behind the famous Eternity line is Calvin Klein. One of the most well known American fashion houses, keeping up with the European mega houses. Owning a sizeable segment in commercial fashion and haute couture as well. Started in 1968 with a 10,000 dollar investment by Calvin Klein and Barry K. Shwartz; today it is a multibillion-dollar brand. Known for their underwear range and the models the employed over time including Kate Moss, Mark Wahlberg, Natalia Vodianova, Jerry Hall, Rita Ora, Diane Kruger, Justin Beiber, Lara Stone, Lupita Nyong'o, Eva Mendes, Saoirse Ronan, Kendal Jenner, Alexander Skarsgard, Doutzen Kroes and Jake Gyllenhaal to name only a handful. The fragrance section of Calvin Klein is owned by beauty product giant Coty.

The Eternity line

Eternity was introduced in 1988, a creation from the nose of Sophia Gorjsman. The original was included into the Fragrance Hall of Fame in 2003. It was designed as a tribute to the wedding of Calvin Klein and thus exudes the qualities of love, peace and family. The mix was highlighted by fresh citrus and green notes, with a follow up of violet and lily-of-the-valley. A note of carnation spiciness gives it the slight peppery hint. The base notes include sandalwood, heliotrope and some musky accords. Overall the fragrance would be considered a sweet smell, being such a hit that most people have almost certainly come across it at some point in the 1990s. 

Today there is a whole range of fragrances for men and women under the Eternity brand line. The iterations at times are a further build upon the original; some are quite different from what the original scent is like. The variety within just this segment of the sub-brand is ample for most people to find something they like. The Eternity line is not too expensive as far as prices go, with enough variation to be accessible as well.
